Our Mission & Values

Putting children at the heart of everything

We provide trauma-informed care using the PACE approach — Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy — so young people feel safe, build trusting relationships, and re-engage with learning and life.

Our Mission

Why we’re here

To provide therapeutic care to young people living in our homes and develop their social, emotional and life skills so they can live safely and productively in the community.

We use a trauma-informed approach and the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy), so children feel safe, build trusting relationships and re-engage with learning and life.

Compassionate

We listen and respond with empathy and kindness.

Inspiring

We nurture confidence, ambition and a sense of possibility.

Dependable

We keep our word and create consistent, safe environments.

Collaborative

We work as one team with families, professionals and each other.

How we show up every day

Playfulness

Warmth, humour and creativity to build connection.

Acceptance

We accept the child’s inner experience and set safe boundaries.

Curiosity

We wonder with young people — “what might be going on?”

Empathy

We attune to feelings first so children feel seen and safe.
